Growing up in
Iowa in a family that never went anywhere I had a
desire to see the world which brought me to Japan.
I married , had a baby, built a house and worked as a teacher to help support my family. I had little time for my art, but now that my daughter is going to high school in the USA and I am suffering from empty nest syndrome, I have returned to what I love.
I have lived in Japan for twenty years. This is my wedding photo, the one and only time I have worn a Kimono.
Some of my favorite artists are Salvaador Dali, Georgia O'Keefe, Fida Kahlo and Noriyuki Ushijima.
